I’ve never been on a medical mission trip where we were able to baptize so many people! This team was inspired by the Lord Himself! It was a team effort.
From the time they came through the front door of the clinics, every person was not only attending to their medical needs, but more importantly their spiritual needs. Prayers were being offered, the Gospel was being shared, testimonies were given, and so much more.
When I was asked if I could baptize some villagers, I had only one response: Show me the water! We loaded up in vehicles and drove the short distances to the beach area where we baptized for 2 days!
Matthew 28:19 says, “ Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,”
Daryl assisted and baptized one by himself. Team members took pictures, others shot video, some helped the people off the docks into the water, and still others prayed. It was a glorious day each time! Praise the Lord!
I was but one small piece in God’s hands as He chose to use everybody at these clinics to lead people to Christ, to pray for all their needs, and so much more.
Medical and spiritual needs were met that week. I felt like Desmond Doss, the combat medic in WWII who won the Congressional Medal of Honor and never touched a rifle. “Lord, give me one more.”
I’m looking forward to our next trip in 2027. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for that team!!!
