Bore Hole or Maize Mill in Malawi

I was watching a reel about Bro. Gibbs. He was telling the story about his dad helping a young evangelist get his tents up using his truck. According to the young evangelist, the tent was more patches than tent. Gibb’s dad was afraid his truck would pull the tent to pieces.

The young evangelist said hook your trucks up and then wait. I’m going to ask God to help you’ll out. After 15 minutes of fervent prayer, the young evangelist told Mr. Gibbs to go ahead and pull it up.

The Lord intervened and the revival tents held together without tearing!

Bro. Gibbs said, “When was the last time you asked God publicly for a miracle?”

Reminds me of the Wolfe Brand Chili commercials. “Say neighbor, when was the last time you had a steaming hot bowl of Wolfe Brand Chili?” (thinking) “Well, that’s too long!”

It’s been a good minute since I asked the Lord publicly for a miracle. “That’s too long!”

In the days to come, I will be asking God publicly through this site, on Facebook, and at my church and others as well for 2 great needs (great as in our sight).

1. A bore hole (water well) in Malawi, Africa for the village of McLean Chimwenje’s grandparents. I had the privilege of leading both of them to Christ several years ago. They are still drinking muddy, tainted water.

I will have the number of people in the village this week. It will be an approximate number.

2. McLean has a soccer team located in his village. He uses the soccer team for evangelism. At halftime, he shares the Gospel with the crowd. The team needs sponsorship. The sponsorship will consist of purchasing a maize mill in order to grind the corn into a powder known as “Nsima”. This is a staple in all the villages. People will bring their ears of corn and they will grind it while paying a fee. The money will be used for sponsorship of the team.

I will be using @WingsOfPromise, a 501c3 nonprofit organization located in Orange, Tx., via Skipper Sauls.

He and I have done quite a bit of ministry mission work together-both in Vidor, Tx., after Hurricane Harvey and Malawi as well.

More to come as details become known. We are checking on prices and Skipper has the ability to go over there to direct these tasks.
